Using interactive media and social tools to connect yourself to your students and to other educators is a powerful and effective way to grow and learn. Some of these same tools can be utilized by our students to work collaboratively with each other while demonstrating mastery.

Make your images come alive with music, video, text, and images. Teachers can use ThingLink images as interactive learning modules (ILMs) that activate and inspire students with creative and effective learning experiences, as well as offer a means of collaborating with colleagues across disciplines. Here is a simple example:
II. Enabling Smart Learning: How can MY STUDENTS use ThingLink? | 35 min
Go to ThingLink and sign up for an account if you don't already have one.
Once you have created a ThingLink account, you can UPGRADE for Free to their Education Version.
Create your own ThingLink image, complete with research and linked 'hot spots' you create, centered around one or more of the following:
ways students can interact, collaborate, and/or publish with peers and/or experts
ways students can create original works or problem solve using collaborative tools
ways students can focus on digital literacy using collaborative tools
ways students can use collaborative tools to demonstrate mastery
an essential question of your choosing focused on student use of collaborative tools
